My SS should thank her lucky stars...

that DH thinks these are a precious heirlooms.  MIL shoved these on us last spring.  Supposedly she hand painted them sometime in the 80s and DH thinks they are some prized decoration.  In the 8 years we've been together I have not seen them once.  I so wish I could send them off in a box.

(this is in our basement, please note the milk crate-type storage box for size reference, this sh!t isn't small and unnoticeable either)

I'm a tacky bitch, because I would totally display those. How can you not love something so horrible? It's like the cotton-ball monstrosities my mom puts on her tree because her kids made them. (They do not look like snowmen.)

They would make lovely back yard decorations.  You know, under the deck or something.

Do you know my neighbors? They have every santa, elf, snowman, and candy canes that Big Lotts sell.

if she painted them then they are sentimental.  Have a heart, you kids will eventually break them anyway.

Ha, I have these and my mamaw painted them in 1978, she dated the bottom.  I liove mine, and put them out every year!  I would have hated it if one of my kids ever broke them.  Mine are painted a little better (IMO) but I really just like them so much because she made them, I would not have looked at them twice in a store.

We have an 80s family "heirloom" nicknamed Indigestion Mrs. Santa that gets regifted every year to a different sibling.  But I guess your MIL may not be flattered by that?

I hoping the dog will get the job done sooner.  If they were really sentimental, she wouldn't have kept them in hiding the last 8 years.  MIL knows they are fug, which is why she gave them to us.  She only unloads stuff that she finds usless and no longer cares about.
