Fever, sore throat, and all that jazz. DH is off to pick him and bring him to the pedi. I really wish he'd be sick when I was home. I feel so guilty not being there to take care of him.

    Someone is there to cuddle and care for him.  That's all that really matters.

    Completely off topic- do you bring your kid home something when you travel?  My dad traveled a lot when we were kids.  Every time he came home he brought us each a strip of candy buttons.  Every time I see those things I think of him.

    I do not. I bought him a toy airplane one time and that was it. For the most part, he's too young and he has plenty of stuff. Airport items are garbage. The other is that when I was a kid my parents traveled for work (my Dad did it pretty extensively) and they would always get us something. After a while the novelty wore off, we expected it, and we were disappointed when it wasn't something "good". I'm not trying to raise a spoiled azz hole.
