VR standstill

I'vve put off any more planning/ purchasing for the last month due to indecisiveness on my part. Since we've been married for 13 yrs in October & renewing our vows for our 14th I know it's not really E pics just have no idea what to call them. However, we never did E-pics the 1st time around and I would really like for us to have a set of pics done to celebrate our VR. My question is do think this is tacky? If you were in my position would you do it?
OAN: I don't want "just couples pics" I've been looking at the E-pics and really would like to do a session like that, different locations, backgrounds etc.

DH really wants me to be in Bright pink for VR. Which in the beginning I was fine with. But the more I plan the more the white gown for ceremony & bright pink for party dress is looking as a better option. Here's my reasoning:1) White informal gown is a classer selection for the ceremony IMO, and me in Bright pink does something to DH's hormones. I feel that kind of thinking should not be done in church ...lol... therefore bright pink would be better option for reception/party. 2) Although I'm doing a dress change why into the same color just doesn't make sense to me..Change dress means change color, change shoes, change hair...3) don't think this dress would look good in bright pink
OAN: light pink is not an option that girls dress color.

So ladies please help I haven't talked to DH about my thoughts yet. Trying to get an impartial opinion before I even bring up the subject..but he has an idea something is bugging me because he keeps asking about the planning and aren't you suppose to buying material for your dresses soon...Uggghhh the one time I don't want him interested, he's on top of it..lol

Thanks in advance for your help :).

I think its fine to take "e-pics", although I would probably refer to them as a couples session and explain to your photographer what feel you are going for (I.e different back ground, different outfits, couple in love, etc. ). I like the idea of you in a white dress better for the VR and a pink dress for the party.  IMO the white just separates you from everyone else.  As a compromise, maybe you could do a white dress with pink accents I.e pink shoes

I agree with PP. It's just a photo session... With married people. Show the photographer your vision for the pix. If they are a good enough photographer, they'll be able to capture what you want, regardless off what the session is called. We had a e-pic session and another one before our VR. Our photog knew what we wanted and captured it. Ask your hubby who renews their vows in HOT PINK...?! lol. Just make it sound like the worse idea ever and he'll agree with the hot pink dress change.

I totally agree with the PPs regarding the e-pics.

I think you should wear the white dress and do the hot pink shoes. Make sure your make-up and accessories will match nicely with the hot pink dress so when you change, you'll only have to change dresses and maybe your hair accessory (if you're wearing one).

(But just FYI - it's perfectly acceptable for your hubby to have "those kinds of thoughts" in church. He's your husband and God honors marriage. He created sex for marriage. He's cool with it. Wink)

Well after reading all your comments...I approach DH and he was a little reluctant but after I explained in detail my feelings he was okay with it but added we'll can't you add some bling to the dress or something...Since when did he become Mr. Wedding...lol

Now I'm on hunt for bling for dress...lol
