Just wow.

I am posting this so all the ladies here can enjoy it.

Today, I received a Facebook "event" invition. To a wedding on October 20th. The couple has listed themselves as "married" on Facebook since the beginning of JUne. The invitation came requesting a Facebook RSVP. Also, as it is on the 20th, they have decided to have a Halloween theme and guests are encouraged, but not expected, to dress in costume.

I am not going to be able to attend, as it is in Ohio and a month after our wedding, also in Ohio. My new job (Started in June) is being gracious and not giving me an ounce of grief about time off for the wedding (which is not a surprise) but there is no way I can go to Ohio for this one.

I find myself somewhat dissappointed to miss this.

i know of a person who did this. Don't know her personally. but she has a reputation... s.k.a.n.k. anyways. she got married. her dress looked more like a slip and she's fat. then she had some crappy zombie cake. some people were dressed really nice, some people were dressed like they just got done drinking for 8 hours at the bar, and some showed up in costumes. I heard it was AWKWARD.

sidenote: the marriage didn't make it a year.

Really, what got me was the fat thing. Who gives a fucccck how much she weighs/ An inappropriate dress is inappropriate whether she's heavy or not.

well ok it was inappropriate. her dress was TOO SMALL, some very fine silk material so it didn't hide anything very well at all, and she was about a half an inch from a wardrobe malfunction (her small kids plus some other kids were there).

had to re-read. I didn't mean "and she's fat" like ha ha she's fat. i meant the material her dress was made of showed EVERTHING. Her dress was more like a thin silk nighty. almost as if she was ready for her bridal night than the actual wedding itself.

What I find interesting is that they're getting married on October 20th in Ohio, and celebrating it as a Halloween thing, instead of Sweetest day, which it will actually be. I would think if you're so into the Halloween thing, you'd get married the next weekend.

HUGE pet peeve when people use social networks like FB to invite people to their wedding. Then, they invite everyone there friends with on FB to the wedding and keep reminding them they didn't push "Accept", "Decline", or "Maybe".
