  I sent out all the family TY cards before I finished with the friend TY cards.....
  
  It's an etiquette faux pas, but eh.  The friends will be getting theirs next week!

  I am so lost when it comes to my future step daughter. We don't get to see her often, and when she is here we do everything we can to make her visit exciting and fun. She tells me (in person) that she loves me and gives me hugs and even a few kisses on the cheek. We make sure she gets a practical amount of one-on-one time with FI. 

  And after all this, when it's nearing time for her to return to her mother's, she does a 180 and tells FI that she feels like he is being "stolen" from her and that they don't get enough time alone. Plus other comments about how she is his "only real daughter," and so on. 

  Ah! I never thought such emotional drama could come from an 11 year old! 

  I never thought I could be so rejected without cause.
