McCloones Pier House.. anyone go to a wedding there before??

Im looking there this week, im concerned about the layout and how the tables are kinda away from the dance floor. Has anyone ever gone to a wedding there? and how was the lay out? was it really annoying in the back.. it looks beautiful there and I wanna make sure all my guests are enjoying themselves!

I went to a wedding there last year and I had a great time.  I didn't think the layout was bad at all, and I hadn't heard any complaints from others.  It seemed as if everyone was enjoying themselves!  It's really a beautiful place!

The one in Long Branch? I went to a wedding there and the food was a big disappointment. The room was also cramped, the tables were close together.
I also didnt like the weddings outside at a beach, sometimes I am sitting right there in my bathing suit as they go on as do many others.
PS- you should go eat at their restaurant yourself and try the food for yourself and then make your decision.

I've eaten at their restaurant & was not impressed with their food or service. I went with a large group of people & half the food came out cold & my food made me feel sick to my stomach. I got a shrimp tempura roll that tasted like really bad grilled chicken - it was gross. I complained & they wouldn't take it off my bill since I ate one piece, & would only offer me free dessert. After eating that food I was in no way hungry for dessert. We just did not receive good service overall & the food is ridiculously overpriced. I've eaten at their location in Sea Bright, but I've also heard complaints about service & their food isn't memorable.

I was in a wedding there and I think it really depends on what your priorities are. You're paying for the view- and with that said- the view/ambiance is AMAZING. The food isn't bad but isn't remarkable and we didn't have any problems with the layout but we were very close to the dancefloor so I'm not sure if other guests had issues. I do remember the cocktail hour being very small. But again, if you're looking for a beautiful beach wedding I think it's a great option.

I went to a wedding there 3 summers ago and my friends and I all say that it was one of the best weddings we've gone too.  The cocktail hour had plenty of food (all good!);the dinner was also very good.
I sat at a table close to the dance floor but it didn't seem as if the distance was bothersome to the other guests as everyone was up and milling about.
The only thing I would point out is that since the wedding is held on the beach, it becomes a show for the passerbys.
