Donna Foster at Central Market on Lamar. She was so easy to talk to at our meeting and they do really gorgeous arrangements. I found her prices very reasonable.

I am using Beth Richard with Exquiste Petals.  She is really sweet and I thought the prices were reasonable.  She had lots of great photos to show and let me get online to show herr all my ideas.

I'm using Martha at ParkCrest Floral design. She's very creative and her prices are wonderful! I'm getting my bouquet next weekend for my bridal portraits so I'm excited to see how it turns out!

Rebekah at the Glass Fountain. I know she has had positive and negative reviews, but I am hoping for the best. Her prices are awesome!

We used Bouquets of Austin.  They're dedicated wedding florists (meaning they don't do retail business for just anyone who wants a flower arrangement), and super professional (unlike some of the other florists we contacted who had a hard time returning emails and phone calls, which just added to the wedding stress).  We used Becky who totally "got" my vision.  We also found them to be reasonably priced.

I would highly suggest Rebekah with the Glass Fountain as long as you want something that is in season. I know that a bride had a problem recently with wilted flowers from The Glass Fountain, but I think they were hydrangeas in June... hydrangeas are best in the winter months and we all know what summer is like in Texas. Rebekah probably shouldn't have committed to providing hydrangeas due to the risk of them wilting, but if you are going with something that is in season, I don't think you will have a problem and her prices are AMAZING.

Yep, that bride was me. My mother and I brought up the in season issue in our consultation with her and whether the flowers would hold up (it was May, btw). We were assured we had nothing to worry about. Idk, I personally don't think it should be the responsibility of the bride to have knowledge/plan for those sorts of things; that's what you hire a florist for.

</div><div>I completely agree. It shouldn't be the responsibility of the bride to have knowledge or plan for what is in season or not. It definitely should have been Rebekah's job to tell you that hydrangeas shouldn't have been the way to go and I would have been overly upset if I were in your situation. In the past two years, I have heard the ups and downs relating to The Glass Fountain and after I heard about the wilting stories from a few brides, it made me very concerned and I brought up the issue to Rebekah in one of my consultations. She told me that since I am using gerberas, which are in season, it shouldn't be a problem. However, it does make me nervous that she said the same thing to you about wilting. Being on a really tight budget, Rebekah's prices were really hard to pass up. For the price, you can't beat her if you are willing to get something that is in season and/or possibly risk wilting. I'll post my review on her in three weeks. Anyway, kelseymw, I didn't want to offend you in any way shape or form, so I am truly sorry if I did.</div><div>

SmileNo offense taken Dapo. I just didn't want anyone to think I was a bridezilla stomping my feet and demanding out of season flowers, then raising hell when they wilted. lol

I second Donna Foster with Central Market.  Her flowers were high quality and she saved me $600 - 900 off the quotes I'd received from other florists in town.

I took her in a photo of what I wanted and she duplicated it perfectly.  She was really easy to work with.

Verbena.  They came in right at my budget and LuAnn is super easy to work with.  They aren't super strict on exactly how many centerpieces and floral stuff you are committed to until 3 weeks before which is nice.  Plus they have been featured in Style Me Pretty (a wedding blog that I love love!).

I too am using Bouquets of Austin. I had a really hard time connecting with florists, they kept cancelling our appointments at the last minute or they had really high minimums. But I just went to my consult with Becky at Bouquets of Austin yesterday. She was very professional, really took time to talk with me (I was there for two hours!) and really made a point to understand my vision and work within my budget. I don't know much about flowers - she was very knowledgeable and patient - showing me pictures of everything she was referring to. So far - I would recommend them (they also did my best friends wedding and it turned out beautifully).
