Aloft Mount Laurel? Other unique/modern reception venue ideas?

Has anyone been married (or know anyone who has been married) at the Aloft Mount Laurel?  I love the decor and vibe of the venue, however, I have some concerns from what I have read.  They don't have an on-site restaurant, but I believe they have a banquet chef.  I'm wondering how the food is....  I haven't found many reviews for weddings or other events at the Aloft, so I'm hoping someone can provide me with more feedback.  Any other suggestions for a unique, modern reception venue in that general area?  (I'm not interested in very 'traditional' type venues.)  I  also really liked the idea of the having the reception at a hotel for the convenience factor, but I'm open to other ideas!  I believe the Hyatt Place Mount Laurel would not be able to accomodate over 100 for a reception?  Does anyone know?  Any thoughts on the Camden aquarium?  Haven't solidified the final guest number but probably about 125 - give or take.  Thanks in advance!!

I'm having my wedding at the Aloft, as well.  We looked into the Aquarium, as FH is studying to be a marine biologist, but it was just TOO expensive for what you get.  We're having a food tasting in a few weeks, and I'll let you know how it goes!  We just fell in love with the decor and everything there!

Andrismedina - when is your wedding?  Did you have your tasting yet?

I loved the Aloft! But they didn't have a setup we liked for the ceremony, so we passed. :(

It may be a good thing though because I stayed in one a few weeks ago and the beds were uncomfortable. But I'm kind of a bed snob lol :)

I would LOVE to see photos of what you ladies do with the place because my mind was in love with the possibilities!

We've scheduled our initial tasting for next Saturday, February 26.  For any of you that have mentioned you would be having a tasting, I am very interested to hear how it goes/went.  Please let me know and I will do the same!  :)

I got married at the Aloft Mt. Laurel on Feb. 12th it was AMAZING!!!!! I love all the ladies there. Chenoa and Desiree are the BEST!!!! They took care of everything. I had my wedding and reception there. It was beautiful and Timeless. Anything I needed they took care of it, if I was worried about anything they handled it. I'm 5 months pregnant and I look forward to having my shower there. I can't explain enough how wonderful my wedding experience was. Chenoa and Desiree both made it the best day of my life. Any budget I had they worked with. It was no hesitation. Many of guest said that it was one of the nicest weddings they've been to. I loved it!! I recommend the Aloft to anyone and everyone.

i'm getting married at the aloft in july of this year. so far, i couldn't be happier. its a tad pricey, but its an "all inclusive" wedding. the flowers, the cake, the food, the alcohol, its all included. plus, its super convenient to have it at a hotel. i won't have to worry about my guests drinking and driving, and included in the wedding is a suite for my fiance and i that night. we also plan on staying there the night before and using the bridal suite to get ready the morning of the ceremony. i chose it because i also loved the modern look of it. it seemed as though everywhere else we looked had ridiculous wallpaper. we haven't had our tasting yet, but from what i've heard the food is great!!

Hi Ladies!  I know I'm a little late to this conversation, I just googled weddings at aloft.  I LOVE it from the website, trying to set up a time to visit, but I was hoping some of you would be willing to share some wedding pix!  I can't find any on how it looks set up for a ceremony and reception.  I'm very curious!!  =)  Thanks a ton!

This video might be helpful jroxx....  It really is an awesome and very unique space, if you don't want something super traditional.  Very hip and fun for sure!  :)
