In Response to Re: We get it. :   I wouldn't be surprised actually. On another baby site I'm on, Moms who gave birth naturally like to be all "high and mighty" over women who had c-sections. Some woman even said that women who have c-sections "didn't give birth". It might be the c-section moms' way of saying fuuck you, my vag is pristine.
Posted by btrflykate1230
That argument is ridiculous.  On both sides.  I don't doubt that it exists, but come on.  What a stupid thing to be elitist about.

• Jesus Christ women can be fucking morons. Who cares how you delivered your baby? Do you have a baby? Then it was a sucess! WTF?
• I delivered my baby through my eye. Is there a vag badge for that?
• I know a lot of women who ride a high horse because they gave birth vaginially.  They think women who had a c-section wimped out and weren't strong enough physically for the demands of giving birth.
• See, mag that's what I'm talking about, I really like the congratulations-type baby posts, becaues I enjoy hearing good news about people. But I absolutely agree with others about the TMI baby posts.

Actually it didn't, at all...sorry to disappoint. I like the announcements, but navybaby paging tide over baby related stuff was ridiculous, and tide saying her bra smells like breast milk, and everything else, it's too.much.

• The women who get up on their high horses about not having an epidural are the ones that piss me off most. If that's what you wanna do, fine, great. But don't look down on women that wouldn't like to FEEL their vag being ripped to their asshole. Here we are on the baby talk again. Fuuck.

• Well, anyone on either side of c-section vs. vag birth arguments is a fucking idiot. Every single body and birth from that body is completely different. You do what you need to do to get a healthy baby into the world and arguing whose vagina is better because they did or didn't delivery a baby through it is moronic and ridiculous.
• Ha.  I had two scheduled c-secs and in the most literal sense, I suppose it's true that I didn't "give birth."  Who cares?  Why would I feel insulted if someone informs me that I didn't give birth - they're right, but they're also stupid.  And failure to push out a baby doesn't mean the vag is "pristine" - how does that even make sense?  I'll stop now.

LOL.  I was going to quote Heels and go from there, but I felt the same way...that this just becomes a huge circle argument that is STILL talking about babies.

• One more baby argument then I'm done (sorry P2!)

I think arguing the validity of your vag at all in the first place negates any pristine qualities about it. Obviously your head is bigger than a baby's head, and walking around all day with your head stuck up your vag is going to stretch it out far more than delivering a baby through it.

• I think all mom debates are BS. Formula vs. breastmilk, epi vs. no epi, etc. As long as your kid is fed, loved, and happy, who am I to judge?

Done with the kiddie talk. I get enough of it on BBC.

I don't mind announcements and some things here and there, but the ad nauseum discussions are annoying.
• since we're talking about pristine vaginas and stuff and everybody's doing it wrong...i'd appreciate it if all of the virgin newbs would decline from informing us about their virginity. i don't think it's cool and i don't want to give you a thumbs up; i'd rather not think about your sex life (or lack thereof.)

• One of my good friends is getting ready to have a baby and she keeps posting all the nasties about membrane.  I told her to stop, its gross.  I blocked her on my news feed too.

Didn't do much.  I think women like that are on a mission to gross us out.

• Smartass Dani is funny.  I wonder if she gets PMs from newbs telling her she's a bad mod and she's doing it wrong, because I do on Chit Chat a lot lately.
• I ask for too much help making decisions, am a vocal veggie, and am too PC... I get it!

No, really though, I really appreciate everyone's perspectives. I'm far from perfect, and I'd rather have somebody say something than seethe in silence.

I know, I'm doing it wrong :)

Aaaand.... Friend who posts her status a lot.... You like vodka. I get it. No more pictures of you drinking it, being hungover from it, holding a bottle of it, or status that go "OMG vodka is the best!!!!" Uh-huh.
