Difficult Color !!

Burnt Orange bridesmaid dresses and SHOES ?????? one BM doesnt want heels giving she is 6'0, two will Want heels., One wants to wear sparkly Toms. What to do??

Re: Difficult Color !!

  • Let them pick the type of shoes they want to wear. Really no one is going to look at their feet. Plus, not everyone finds the same types of shoes comfortable.

  • I already told them that, They said we all can't wear diffrent shoes! My soon to be Mother-in-law also said No to that too!

Then tell them that if they want to coordinate, they are welcome to, but you are not requiring them to wear any specific kind of footwear (or you can give a general color family - metallics, white/nude/offwhite, etc).

    This.

If they want to coordinate then tell them have at it but that any and all decisions on shoes is up to them and you want to stay out of it.

[QUOTE]Pick a gold or bronze shoe.  <strong>Say no to Toms or athletic shoes.</strong>

<div>Agreed.  If they want more guidance, tell them to pick a shoe of a specific color.  If they want to coordinate beyond that, tell them that they are free to.  </div><div>
</div><div>I think that Toms are so ugly with dresses. And actually just ugly period. I know they are trendy right now, but I'm not a fan, especially with formal attire.</div>
  • Burnt Orange is a great color! There's a good number of colors that would work well. Here're some color palettes with burnt orange:

It's nice that they want to coordinate. But yes, stay out of it. Maybe you can just suggest ideas for colors.
