Evening

Re: Evening

• Yeah, I can see how that would be stressful Muni - at least you have something to look forward to - (you know, other than the whole being married thing : p )
• J - out of curiosity why did you choose a sleep number bed? I would have thought Tempurpedic would be better - but maybe that's just because I love it.
Angel, H loves it.  I'm working on getting my number right.  Unfortunately, I sleep on my side and my stomach...and I'm having a hard time finding the right number for both.  I have a good one for my side, and a good one for my stomach :(  But I do like it more than a regular bed so far.  I'm just hoping I can make it even better.
Posted by J&K10910
I'm a side sleeper, so hopefully I'd only need one number. I really want to look into it, whenever we can afford to buy a bed. I think starting out, we'll be using FI's old queen sized bed from college, but I don't know if it'll be big enough, I need a lot of space, haha. You said you got a pillowtop one, yes?

• How far apart are side and back numbers, J?

• I really better get to see FI tomorrow, this is getting old fast. I've eaten way too much ice cream this week out of lonliness and boredom :)

Poke, are you guys taking any kind of honeymoon?
imageWedding Countdown Ticker
• Poke, H hates memory foam.  Loathes it.  Part of the reason we chose the sleep number was because he likes his mattresses firm and I like mine softer because I do a lot of sleeping on my side, so we like that we can have our own numbers.

Angel, yes, it has an 8 inch pillowtop, and it's glorious.  I definitely feel the "air mattressy" feel when I sit on the bed, or get up, but when I'm laying, it doesn't feel like an air mattress at all.

MUNI, my side number is 35 and my stomach number is 40.  40 would be ok for my side if I didn't have a jacked up right shoulder that gets sore when I lay on it.  So for now, I'm trying to stick with 40 and just not lay on my right side if I can help it.

J, does the Sleep Number transfer motion? H is a wiggler, and I hate it.

ETA: He also hates foam.
• Well, at least they're close.  How bad is it at like, 37?
• Angel - we're not, really. FI's family is flying in from England so we are going to be doing touristy stuff with them which won't leave much money for a HM. We are going with FMIL and FBIL to NO because my family is throwing us a shower-ish party thing because a lot of them can't make it to the wedding.
• Um...it's better than a spring mattress, but I can still feel when H gets in and out of bed.  I don't wake up when he's wiggling around though.

H swears he wants a Posturepedic next.  But he overheats on memory foam.  I don't know how that'll work for him.
• It goes in increments of 5, unfortunately, MUNI.  so 35 and 40 are my only options.

• That makes sense J. I can't imagine anyone not liking memory foam though haha.

<div>Does he, by chance, frequently switch from his back to his stomach by doing a full-body flop? If so, can you feel it? That's what I'm dealing with.</div>

Next time around, we should do a "something Angel likes" swap ;)

ETA - I wish I'd chosen a SN with a less stupid nickname, haha.
Hey Poke. So we have only 6 people in the swap.  I'm thinking maybe we could each send 2 or 3 beers.

<div>I would join the swap - but I'm afraid that I'm too new for people to be comfortable with that. Also-and-plus I don't know much about beer so I'm kind of afraid I'd pick the wrong thing : s</div>

He does indeed do something similar.  Except instead of full body flopping, he bounces up and skootches about 4 times until he's turned.  Boing boing boing!  I haven't woken up to that since we moved and started sleeping in the bed.  I don't know if it's because I can't feel it as much, or because I'm sleeping better, or because HE'S more comfortable so he's not moving as much, but whatever the reason, I'm good with it.

• Hi!  My apartment community had a "Yappy Hour" social thing. with people and dogs who wanted to come  It was kind of lame, but then I felt stuck there cause it would have been awkward to leave.  Home now.  And Autumn is passed out in her bed so I think she'll sleep well tonight after the activity and stimulation.
• Chrissy - I think the gf is a teenager though, which a lot of people seem to say is fine.
• Loopy - that's so lame in an adorable way lol. Did all the dogs get along?
• H just got home a little while from his class. He brought home some burritos and an attitude. Fabulous.
