Indian + American Food for Reception

Hello!  I was wondering what people have done for options for both Indian and American food for receptions.  How has your Hotel/Hall handled it and how did your caterers handle it? 

I'm looking specifically in the Chicago suburb area.  But a general idea would be great.

    For our wedding, we did more American food for cocktail hour and then a full Indian dinner and then more American type desserts. We had Mexican Bhel baskets, vegetable patties on a stick, mini pizza, and pastas, etc. For dinner, we had a full vegeterian Indian dinner. For dessert, we had belegian waffles, cheescakes, ice cream, etc. The wedding was in New Jersey, so I can't give caterer recommendations, but hopefully this helps!
