I've been on the knot for a few months now and have purused the boards but haven't particpated yet...it seems there's lots of helpful stuff on here! Anyways, I'm planning for my June 4, 2011 wedding and we haven't had luck with finding an officiant. We are not extremely religious but would like someone other than justice of the peace to perform the ceremony. We will have some religious aspects in the ceremony. We do not really have any family or friends who we want to be ordained and perform the ceremony (this has been suggested). We are not a member of a church so it's difficult to find someone, and we are paying for the wedding ourselves so we need to be price conscious. If anyone has any ideas for someone in the Albany area (We're getting married at the Crossings of Colonie) please let me know! Thanks!
