Cupcake Tower vs Traditional wedding cake

Hi All,

I am debating on whether I should have cupcakes instead of a cake. We are having 80 - 100 guests, so would the cupcakes be enough? I always thought the cupcakes were cute and maybe less costly. Anybody doing this?

    I've always loved the cupcake idea but I feel like it will be as expensive if not more than the traditional cake. We are expection 150-200 guest. What we've decided to do is have a dessert buffet. There will be some cupcakes, some lemon squares (FI favorites), a two tier cake for us to cut into and some color coordinating goodies in pretty glass jars. This will also help us kill two birds with one stone; guests has their take home party goods and dessert during the wedding too.
