The Farmer's Daughter

So I heard that Jim Coleman left Normandy Farm a couple weeks ago, but today I got an e-mail saying the new restaurant is called Farmers Daughter.

Future NF brides-- has your menu changed since it's not Coleman anymore?

    The new menu looks DELICIOUS!!!

The only thing that was significantly different at the tasting were a few menu options. My fav. was the Blood Orange Chicken and Barley. I think they had a new local fish too - I just didnt' try it - I was wayyy too stuffed on the chicken balls.

The Farmer's Daughter isn't the restuarant its a new bar.  The replaced the little tiny bar across from Coleman's and added this huge granite wrap around bar and big open space around a fire place.  I sawit at my details meeting while it was still under construction and it look really cool.  I'm so excited that its going to be ready for my wedding at the end of March b/c the small size of the bar for the "afer party" was really a concern for us.

I don't know if they are going to change the name of restuarant now that Jim Coleman left, but they did say they are going to renovate the restuarant eventually.  They said that the wedding/banquet menu isn't going to change since Jim Coleman wasn't really involved with that anyway.

It is REALLY good.  We went there to try the food before we put down our deposit for our wedding.  They also redecorated the whole restaurant.  I like the decor much better.  It's still country, but more modern.  I kinda wish they would update the Silos Ballroom like this too.  I still love it the way it is, I just like the more modern look.  The bar is awesome too.  I was wondering if the wedding menu was going to change, but as of right now we haven't heard anything.  We still have a year and a half to go though.
