Who truely tips/pays the officiant? The couple does right? Just the money is given to the best man to give to them. Or am I just completely off base? The closer it gets the wedding the more I start forgetting the simple things!

FI and I are paying/tipping the officiant but I think maybe it's usually the grooms parents that pay/tip for this? I could be totally wrong with that though.

I'm just going to give someone all my envelopes and have him or her give them to their respectvie recipients. I don't think it really matters as long as they get their money.

I guess it all depends on how your wedding was paid for... my parents paid and they will be paying the officient and whatever tip they decide to tip her.
