NWR: Share your campfire recipes!

FI and I are going on a float trip this weekend for 4th of July, and I'm trying to find the best campfire recipes out there! We don't have any campfire pots/pans, so anything that can be cooked on a stick or wrapped in foil would be best. :D

Soak some corn in its husk then throw it on the fire.  No foil required, and only a utensil to turn them.

Cut up veggies and throw seasoning and oil on them...then wrap the whole thing up in foil and throw in the fire and let it cook.

Also take a banana (in peel), cut it down the middle.  Fill it with chocolate chips and marshmallows.  Wrap it in foil and throw it in the fire :-D

Sarahbeth - yeah, we're going to Noel! It was kind of a last minute thing. On Friday afternoon my friend/coworker was like "Let's go camping" and by the end of the day I had it planned and canoes booked, haha!

    Thanks for the ideas ladies!

I worked as a camp counselor for years and we used both of these recipies weekly! We added some chicken or ground beef to the veggies sometimes too.
