Snarky Brides

Kate Middleton - MS

DId anyone else see this?

My dad has MS so she just went waaaay up in my book. The Prince William look-a-like thing seems a LITTLE odd to me, not gonna lie, but whatever. She's raising money so she gets credit. Smile

  • I think it's ironic, but the timing works in her favor.  It's nice that she's using the hub-bub of her name (and at least letting people know it's not the Princess) to raise proceeds for a good cause.

  • Um, OP- you know that's not ACTUALLY the princess right? It's just a girl who happens to have the same name as her.... I think. (right?)

I mean, it's still an awesome thing to do.

<div>Not being very interested in the royal family and unable to spot something like that, I Googled it and found this: <a href="http://www.topix.com/forum/health/multiple-sclerosis/TU2MMTK4H7DOH1OI0">http://www.topix.com/forum/health/multiple-sclerosis/TU2MMTK4H7DOH1OI0</a></div><div>
</div><div>So....you're probably right. I just assumed it was the same woman since the National MS Society sent me something about it on Facebook. </div>

<div>No,no, you're fine. Haha, I just can't believe I didn't realize that. Like I said, I have no idea about any of the royals. At all. To be fair, FI totally thought it was the duchess as well. Of course, he cares even less than I do so I suppose that doesn't help my case any... <img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-wink.gif" border="0" alt="Wink" title="Wink" /></div>

13 years now. I am doing pretty well, which is good since I have failed all the drugs and can't take the new oral drugs until we are done having kids, since I can't take them while I am pregnant/breastfeeding/TTC.

<div>I may be totally off, but I'm pretty sure you mentioned that you had MS when I asked about the MS Walk oh so long ago...?</div><div>
</div><div>There's a girl in my class who was diagnosed when she was only 17. It sucks. I remember doing a report on it in 6th grade (we had to pick an illness and my mom wanted me to do it on MS since my dad had it) and was totally freaked out by what I learned. Of course, now I"m always terrified that I'm going to get it. Then again, I'm super paranoid.</div>

  • Bunny, that was me. :)

One good MS related thing - the doctors are worried there might be a growth issue with the baby from the MS, so they have me come in for ultrasounds every 4-5 weeks. The baby has been fine, but we get to see him more often then we would otherwise.

</div><div>I remember there was a guy on one of TLC's baby shows - Bringing Home Baby? A Baby Story? - who had MS. He had it pretty bad and was shaking a lot. Him and his wife were really concerned about having a baby, but it seemed to work out well so I was really happy for them. </div>
