Try Wahoo Grill in Decatur. Not sure how many people you plan to have but Pam can work something out to fit your needs. Its a restuarant which also has outdoor tent and patio garden. I had my wedding there a couple weeks ago and got a great deal.

We need a little more information to be able to help you.

Is the over-all wedding budget $3000 or is the venue budget $3000?

Where in the Atlanta area are you looking for? OTP? Downtown? Are you willing to travel for the wedding, if so how far?

What kind of venue are you looking for? Loft space with a view of the city? Outdoor ceremony by the river? All inclusive?

What kind of wedding are you having? Intimate with between 25 - 30 on the guest list or a huge extravaganza with 300 people? Formal? Semi-formal? Casual? Daytime? Night-time? Are you going to have a full dinner reception, or just cake and punch?

You need to think about all of these questions before you start looking at venues. If you don't already know the answers to these questions, you need to figure it out. If you just start looking at wedding without an idea of the direction you want to go in, you'll get overwhelmed really quick.

You could rent most of the big nice churches in the downtown/midtown/buckhead area for 3K

So if your venue budget is $3000 - you can pretty much rent anywhere with this economy.  Is there a preference or "dream" location you'd love? A historic home? A loft setting? A gallery?

Check out the Gwinnett Historic Courthouse in Lawrenceville.
