Site visits- did you make an appointment?

We will be in Cancun next week and would like to see a couple of resorts.

Those of you that have done scouting trips, did you contact the resorts before or just show up and ask to see the place?

definitly make appointments to get the most information possible otherwise they kinda rush through everything because of their "next appointment."

DEFINITELY get appointments!!!! Most of the places/people we met with actually told us "We don't ordinarily do consultations on weekends because we're so busy, but since you're coming from out of town, we don't mind." If we had just shown up, we wouldn't have been able to meet with hardly anyone.

I made appointments a few months in advance AND also asked for budgets, etc so that I would have a list of questions for each site.

I got engaged at the Royal in cancun in March and we went to see 3 other resorts while we were there. All three resorts fit us into the schedule but don't normally do that. They said we should always make an appointment first, but I didn't want to waste an opportunity while we were down there!

P.S. We are getting married at the Royal on 6/18/2011 and will be on a site visit in August too! AndyNJenn.....when will you be there?
