How long with SO: We have been friends for a few years but have been dating for a year and a half and living together for almost a year.

How do you feel about cheap wine: Mmmm I love it. Pink Truck and B!tch Wine are my. My BF is on a kick of trying to find a wine that tastes like church wine so we have been trying a bunch of different kinds.

Maccaroni and cheese: LOVE it. I have this for dinner at least once a week, more if BFs son is staying with us. I always end up adding extra velveeta to mine too so its extra cheesy. MMmmm.

Mashed potatoes: With sour cream, butter, bacon bits, broccoli and cheese.

Engagement ponies: ??? Sorry dont know what that means. LOL.

How long with SO (if there is one): Been together going on two years and have been living together a year.

How do you feel about cheap wine: I'm very picky about wine but HEB has an amazing sparkling moscato called Moscato d'Asti.

Maccaroni and cheese: Love it! Now I want some...

Mashed potatoes: Mmmm especially when you put everything on them just like a baked potato!

    Engagement ponies:Huh...?

BBB, we (or I) have also gotten in the habit of asking noobs the all-important question of how they feel about Harry Potter.

Those of you coming out, add that to the list.  :)

I'm sort of still a lurker, despite posting on the board a few times, so I'll play. Plus I've yet to share my opinion on some of these important questions.

    Age: 22

How long with SO (if there is one): 2.5 years

How do you feel about cheap wine: meh, not a big wine person. Back in my early college years it was all about the cheap vodka.

Maccaroni and cheese: I love cheese with all of my heart. mac & cheese is amazing!

Mashed potatoes: I like these too, but not as much as mac & cheese

Engagement ponies: I read a story-on this board I think-about someone that got an engagement kitten. I'm partial to those. Especially, because I don't have the yard for a pony.

Harry Potter: I absolutely love the Harry Potter books, but I wasn't so big on the movies. I haven't had the chance to see the 6th or 7th ones yet though.

Newbies! The engagement pony is most certainly better than the engagement ring! And ponies are always a wonderful surprise!

Also...is there anyone in the world who doesn't like mac and cheese? I mean come on its amazing! How could you hate it?!

  • edited December 2011
Lol! Well since there is definitely no room for a pony in our current living situation i'll stick with my puppy :)
As for Harry Potter- LOVE IT! Although I have been seriously slacking on seeing the last two movies...oops.

How long with SO (if there is one): almost 3 years
How do you feel about cheap wine: I'll drink anything! But if it tastes really bad then I add cranberry juice which makes it all better
Maccaroni and cheese: thats what I brought for lunch today
Mashed potatoes: I love potatoes any way they are made. My boyfriend usually makes fun of me for it, but when I'm having a rough day he always makes them for me.
Engagement ponies: I am a kid at heart and already requested one instead of a ring
Happy Potter: While on a road trip, my uncle played the first book on tape, but never really got into the HP thing. I read the twilight books, but hated the movie. So I guess when I read the book first my imagination is too much and I'm disappointed by the movies.

Anything to get out or writing this paper.  I don't think I'm a lurker anymore, but...

    Age: 24
How long with SO (if there is one): Dating 5 years... well, almost. Our anniversary is on Saturday
How do you feel about cheap wine: I love it BUT I only drink dessert wine cus I'm classy like that.  Moscato <3
Maccaroni and cheese: I love macs n cheese.  I prefer Kraft (I hate Velveeta) and if someone wants to make it I highly prefer it baked.
Mashed potatoes: Potatoes in any form are my comfort food.  Bring it on.
Engagement ponies: That's my code word now.  My best friend thinks I'm seriously asking for a pony for Christmas hahahaha.
Harry Potter: I have a small crush on him (read: large).  Also, a secret: I haven't finished the series yet.  But it's because school + work + obsessive posting/reading here don't leave me much time for novel-reading

    Edit: for spelling :)

I used to post, but then I went away for a while and I have been lurking for about 3 weeks.

    Age: 24
How long with SO (if there is one): exactly 5.5 years yesterday
How do you feel about cheap wine:Unfortunately there is no such thing as cheap (less than $10) wine in Pennsylvania because they think it's fun to tax the crap out of it. But in other news I do love me some cheap wine.
Maccaroni and cheese:MmmmMmmmMmMmm I require Mac and cheese right now!!!
Mashed potatoes:Looooooooooooooooooooooooove mashed potatoes. I could eat it at every meal. But this isn't fair I have to wait 2.5 hours to eat lunch.
Engagement ponies: I would love an engagement pony!! He/she can stay in my room with me and SO can sleep on he couch.

ETA- HP: I am not a huge fan, but I did love Prisoner of Azkaban. Hopefully I can earn points by saying that I am a huge True Blood fan and I am currently on book 5, and I am also reading Chuck Palahniuk's Invisible Monsters

    Well, since we're all playing...

    * I'm 24, BF is 27.  I turn 25 in 2 weeks, and so excited to be able to rent a car without all those underage fees!

    * We've been together 2 years and counting.

    * I am a wine snob, too, but there are budget wines that are quite good.  If you're talking crappy wine, then I like it sometimes in sangria or a 'tinto de verano' (mixed with 7-Up or Lemon Fanta).

    * Love Mac, especially gourmet ones with the crumbly crusty cheese on top.  Yum!

    * Potatoes are my life blood.  Mashed, baked, twice baked, skins, scalloped, whatever.  Mostly mashed, with cheese and butter, rarely gravy.

    * Way cooler than a silly little ring.

    * Like HP, not obsessed, and kind of creeped out by anyone overly obsessed with any of those things - HP, Twilight, whatever.

I HATE that vampires are so trendy now. I love True Blood but I can't stand that vampires are everywhere now. I have always been a fan of horror kind of stuff, If I could find a series of books about werewolfs or serial killers I would love them!

How long with SO (if there is one): 3 years and....21 days (since it's Dec. tomorrow, I figured I'd be all precise about it today)
How do you feel about cheap wine: I really do not have a taste for cheap and/or fine wine.  I fail as a wine-o.
Macaroni and cheese: yes please!  This one place in Jersey City makes the best "adult" mac 'n' cheese ever.
Mashed potatoes: I'm getting better with them.  Used to not like em, but my BF kinda requires them every meal...and I make pretty good ones!
Engagement ponies: Um, I'm outta the loop on this one.  BUT...we don't have room to fit a pony.  Does that mean our someday engagement will be invalid?!  Crap...in other news, my BF's mom had a pony as a little girl and I think that's really cute, haha

ETA: Yes, I'm all for Harry Potter.  I'm re-reading the series (currently re-on book 3) in protest of the 7th book coming out in two parts for the movie, haha.  We'll see if I last until they're both out to see them.

I've been quiet too Blue, so i guess I'll play too.

    Age: 24, BF is 36

How long with SO (if there is one): 1.5 years-esque

How do you feel about cheap wine: I think there's a difference between cheap and inexpensive, because you can pay quite a bit for wine that blows.  But I love wine, so pour me a glass of whatever you've got.

Maccaroni and cheese: I know, you will all hate me, I don't like it.  The only kind I really like is the really cheap ready-mac and I'm not even sure that can qualify as mac and cheese.  I don't know why I don't like it, I just don't.  But I'm not really a fan of a lot of yellow cheese, so maybe a fontina mac and cheese would be up my alley.

Mashed potatoes: I love mashed potatoes.

Engagement ponies: BF doesn't even want a puppy...I hardly think I'll ever get an engagement pony.  Then my engagement won't be valid.  Sigh.

Edit: Harry Potter, I have read every book, and I would say that I liked them.  However I'm not really a fan of the movies.
