Flower Pricing...Help!!

What is an average for flower pricing? It's the one area I am totally unfamiliar with. I've gone to a few different florists in the area and have received different quotes each time. I'm looking to get 1 bridal bouquet, 6 bridesmaids bouquets, 7 boutonnieres for the guys + 2 for the FOB and FOG, 2 small bouquets for the MOB and MOG, and corsages for the grandparents. Anybody have something similar to give me an idea?? Any advice would help at this point....

It really depends on what flowers you want. If they are local and in season it will be much less expensive. If you want something that has to be flown in from far away it will be more expensive. What flowers were you thinking of?

My florist posts prices, but they are less when you negotiate- this may help

This really depends on what you want. It varies greatly. I remember getting "ideas" on here and then having mini panic attacks when I would get quotes from florists.

It really depends....on the flowers, how the bouquet is made, etc.

    My bouquet was $315
    BM's bouquets were $125
    Bout for MH $25
    Bout for GM's $15

My bouquets were all set in a special bouquet holder that kept them in water all day, since we were starting early.  This caused them to be a little bit pricier. I also had expensive flowers, orchids, calla lillies, etc.  VERY worth it imo though. My flowers were gorgeous.

I used Precious Petals Too in Fairfield.  Nancy was great.  I told her flowers I didn't want, colors I wanted and let her go from there!  She will work with your budget, so don't be scared off by my expensive flowers.

IDK where you are in NJ but I'm using Cranford Florist and I thought her prices were great.
    My bouquet- $155
    BM bouquet- $35 each
    MOB/MOG corsage- $25 each
GM boutineers- $10 or $15 each (i can remember off hand)
    CP-$45/table
    Flower for gazebo- $175

Overall I got my bouquet, 10 BM bouquets, 19 boutineers, 6 corsages, 20 CPs, and gazebo decorations with tax and delivery, all for about 2K, which I thought was fantastic.

But I would definitely recommend that you tell your florist that you are looking to use less expensive/in season flowers to keep your costs down. Because unless you have your heart set on a particular flower (which it doesn't sound like you are), its not worth it to spend a lot of extra $. I was looking for a fun, bright, tropical looking bouquet and my florist was able to use my descriptions to create flowers that met my needs

    Good Luck!

Thanks everyone!!! You all were so helpful!

Im looking for a very simple bouquet of hydrangeas and roses for myself, just hydrangeas for the BMs, MOB, and MOG and in the corsages for the GM. The groom and grandparents are all getting roses.

I figured since hydrangea is a summer flower I was going to have to pay more to get it in Jan, but on the flip I don't need as many of them. Am I crazy?

I would talk to the florists about off-season hydrangeas.  They aren't the best at holding up out of water, so if the quality isn't going to be great in the winter, you may want to try something else.  (But then, it won't be hot so you won't have to worry about heat ruining them.)  A good florist should be honest to you about that kind of stuff.

    My bouquet was $225:

... and the bridesmaid bouquets were $70:

Flowers for our moms (purse flowers for my mom, and a small clutch of flowers for his) were $15, and bouts were $10.
