Tell me about your Triad hairstylist.

Pretty please.  Who'd you use?  Did he/she come to you?  Were you pleased with your service?  Did your hairstyle stay in place all day?  Was the cost reasonable?

One of my bridesmaids has decided that "this week's assignment" is that I have to research hairstylists. 

There will be up to 6 of us, and hair will have to begin very early for our 11:30 ceremony.

    Can't be much help here -- I finally talked to the girl who usually cuts my hair at Leon's, and she arranged for her and their makeup girl to take the day off to come out and do our hair at the wedding site.  I feel much better knowing that I know the person who wil be doing my hair! 

    I know you aren't curretntly living in the Triad, but if you ever had your hair done here, maybe you could contact that person to see if they could do something similar?

    A friend recommended a salon to me, they have only been open a year, and the prices were going to be $65 hair/$65 makeup and they would come on site also, or do it in salon.  No personal experience with them, but my friend has had the owner cut her hair for years.  I thought the makeup prices were too high, so I kept looking.  If you want the info, let me know!

    The lady who did my hair for prom moved to Texas.  And although it's how I've chosen who cuts my hair for years, I don't think I'm willing to let whomever is at Fantastic Sams that day do my wedding hair. <img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-undecided.gif" border="0" alt="Undecided" title="Undecided" />

    I'm using Margo Williams (clicky) and though I haven't actually experienced her yet (makeup/hair trial is end of August) she came highly recommended by a friend of mine who got married in '07. Margo is in Raleigh, but she travels which is why I mentioned her here. :) She was the most reasonable come-to-you option I found ($100 for hair/makeup combined, $60 hair only, $50 makeup only.) She does need at least 1 hour per person if she's doing both hair and makeup.

    Probably not too helpful, since she would need to start really early to have you all ready, but I thought I would share so you have more to compare. :)

    Margo's prices have gone up.  I just booked her last week and she is now $250 for hair makeup for the bride.  Quite pricey but I have had her do my hair and makeup twice before for my sister and cousins wedding and got great results both time!

    Yeah thats what I was thinking too lol.  Her prices are really high but I am the kind of person who sticks with whats familiar hehe.
