How big is your wedding?

Since we are all getting a rough idea of what kind of wedding we are planning, I thought it would be fun to figure out how big (or small) our weddings are going to be.  Some have already talked about it (i.e. Disney destination wedding :D) but maybe we can get some more details from others who are not as active on the board.  Tell us how many people you are inviting and how you came to that decision!  Who in your office is getting the ax?  etc.

I will go first - our list is roughly 125 people, but we want around 100 at the end of the day.  My mom thinks this is a "big wedding."  She has no idea......

    We are inviting between 350-400 (big families). Everyone from my work is getting invited since I only work with a small amount of people.

    ETA: FI is only inviting a few people he is close to at work since he works for a big corporation.

    We're at 110 right now. I too want to see aroudn 100 at the end of the day but I am doubtful that will happen.

    I'm hoping we'll end up with about 80, but we haven't received lists from our respective parents yet, so that may change.

    @dewingedpixie you do win lol

    Our list is at 114 potential guests but we're HOPEING to get it under 80 with 60-70 being ideal. My parents estimate that it will be around 86 with the people who they know are planning to attend.

    Our list is at 210 right now. Hoping to cut it down to about 175-180. We can't cut down TOO MUCH because we have to guarantee our venue 150.

    Our room cap is 200, but I have a feeling it will be about 150 guests in attendance, plus about 25 kids (who are not included in the final count associated with costs - kids under 5 are free, and any child that eats an adult meal even if they don't drink alcohol is full adult price)

    So far we have about 75 people, which is perfect. As long as we stay 100 and under, we are good!

    Yeah I dont want to deal with the costs or stress. I'd rather pay 300 a head for something amazing that I can enjoy than 100 a head for something thats going to give me a ton of stress.

    Yay! We were originally inviting 125-150. After stressing about costs we reduced it to 50-60 and eventually 30. Just family and a few close friends and we could not be happier. Still going to have the wedding we want but will not be stressed out along the way :)

    Our cap is at 150... Honestly I'm hoping for 20ish people to RSVP "no", but they're all people we "have" to invite.. Any suggestions for how to convince my mom we don't need to invite her friend's adult children?? (Especially since I'm not friends with them..?)

    </div><div>Second, I was able to convince my FMIL and mom that we didn't need to invite certain people by showing them the list and asking where we could make cuts to include those certain individuals.  When they see the actual list, it becomes more of a reality.  Hope that helps!</div>

    The list is up to 150-160, our room holds 175 and we have to guarantee 125, so we're hoping no more than 150.

    We're trying to keep it around 100 people after RSVPs.  Right now the list is at 106.  We think at least 10 of those will drop off, so we can invite some "local" friends/family.  We actually have a small wedding party for that number of guests.  There are three bridesmaids and my fiance only wanted one groomsman, the best man.
