Our venue usually waits til 30 days out to pick out the menu and centerpieces, and tha just makes me uncomfortable, so we went in to talk to the manager of the venue on Saturday. This was our first time meeting her and she answered a lot of questions I had that put my mind at ease. Then after talking for a while, we found out that FI's uncle (who passed away right before we got engaged... he was FI's best friend) did business with the venue and was super close with the manager! So she asked if she could take on our wedding herself and be our coordinator. It just makes us feel a little special knowing we have that connection with the lady responsible for making our reception amazing. She also said we can come in after the holidays to discuss the menu and centerpieces and all that. She even put our file in a safe instead of back in the filing cabinet, lol...
Just wanted to share... I feel less stressed about things now. I know our wedding is in great hands!
