This could be a tough one

Ok, you are being sent to a deserted island. Why? Don't worry about it, you just are, and you are going to be stuck there for 1 year. You can bring 3 things, what would you bring?

Here are the rules:
1. NO PEOPLE!!!!! Sorry FI, you'll have to wait for us.
2. No Cell Phone- There is no way to be "rescued." People know you are there, but you are staying, sorry.
3. You can bring electronics, but remember, this is a deserted island. There is no wifi.
4. Again, don't waste your time on an item you think will "save you." Not gonna happen.
5. You have all the very basic necessities- fresh water, enough food for the year, shelter, stuff you need to make a fire, toilet paper, sunblock, and blankets. However, you do not have shower/shower supplies, toothbrush, etc. 

So, what do you bring with you? I have to admit, I always have trouble when thinking of this question. I am not going to answer quite yet, I'm going to think about it (and maybe steal some ideas, lol)

    Where is everyone today????? Ok, I would load up my Nook with books. The Nook is only one thing right? I'd bring my iPod because I'd be miserable without music. And I'd I'm torn, I really want mouthwash because I don't want my teeth to rot out of my face, but I'd also like to bring a photo album, so I could see all the people I will miss that year. Although, that might make the year harder to stand if I saw them in pictures all the time. Anyway, as long as I had enough to read I would be good. Let's go people get posting I need something to read at work lol.

    1. iPad loaded with books, music and pictures
    2. My puppies (for company)
    3. A solar charger pack (to charge the iPad after I use all it's battery, LOL)
    3. Toothbrush & toothpaste (or if that's considered two items I'd have to go with mouthwash, lol)

    (1) I would have to bring my ferrets ( They aren't people, but I have four of them so I'd be out of "things" as it is if they count as more than one "thing", but I'd go crazy without them lol.)

    (2) My Iphone (just for the music and camera though.)

    (3) A solar charger for my iphone so I can continue to listen to music and take pictures while I'm there to show FI what he missed.

    1.  An iPad loaded with books and music (a year of just sitting on an island reading books sounds amazing!) and a charger
    2.  Do we already get bug spray or do we need to bring that?  Mosquitoes love me so that would probably be my #2.  Last time I went to the beach I got 34 bug bites in one day!

    1. Do we get scissors in the basic supplies? If not I'll bring a pair to cut nails and hair, I know there will be noone else on the island but still the thought of hairy armpits grosses me out
    1. If we already have scissors I'm stealing mrsK's idea of sunglasses
    2. iPad loaded with all bunch of stuff (pictures, movies, music) and a charger.

    3 items only?!

    That's tough.

    1. My pupster for companionship

    2. Sunglasses (I can't leave home without them. I have bought many a pairs when Ive forgotten them)

    3. My tablet - Books, pictures, music, etc all loaded up on it.  And I can use the camera to take pics as well. (The charger doesn't count as an additional item hehe)


    (although, noise cancelling headphones sound nice.)

    2.) My puppy for some company

    3.) Toothpaste and toothbrush so my teeth won't be gone or have super rank breath when I get saved

    Ridiculous amount of batteries Converter from AA to mini USB Kindle loaded down with books. If I had a fourth item, it would be a knife or a gun with ammo so I could still hunt or something Chargers don't work ladies on a deserted island lol

    With four kids currently driving me insane, this challenge sounds like heaven!

    If there's electricity, I'd bring a netbook loaded with books, pictures & games, a digital camera, and a 50 lb bag of M&Ms.

    If there's NO electricity, I'd bring a huge pack of pre-sharpened pencils, a crate of college rule paper, and a 50 lb bag of M&Ms.
