My fiance and I have been engaged for seven months already but have not been able to get any wedding planning done because the venue we love and plan to book for this October has been undergoing construction. I've been in communication about once a month with the rental coordinator to check how things are progressing and find out when we can book. When I e-mailed her in February, she told me that they would definitely not start booking until March. So I contacted her the first day of March asking if we could book and she was out of the office. Two days later she e-mails telling me they decided not to book any dates before October 13th. I'm thinking - PERFECT! October 13th is the exact day that we wanted as it is my fiance's favorite (to the extreme) number. We figured we'd be able to get the date we want since they haven't been booking and we've been all over them! So anyways...she tells me that the board of directors still has to vote on the prices, yadda yadda yadda. So I tell her "Perfect! The 13th is the exact day that we want. Please let me know as soon as it is available to book and we'll come make the deposit" And she tells....oh another bride has already booked the 13th!! What!! I'm so annoyed at them. They weren't even booking!! I better be able to get a date in October because it is too late to book anywhere else and we do not want to wait any longer to get married!!
