Bachelortette party invites

I'm having a hard time making a list for my maids as to who I want at a Bachelorette party. I have 8 definites (including my 3 maids) and about 4 more I'd kind of like there. Is 12 too many? I haven't been to many, but I feel like that's more than usual. Is there an obligation to return the favor of going to someone elses bachelorette party?

No, there's no obligation to return the favor to another girl who's b-party you attended in the past. The size of the guest list depends on the bride and who she really wants to be there. Some b-parties are smaller and more intimate and some are larger. If you want all 12 of those girls there to celebrate with you before getting married, then I would put them on the list for your BM's to invite.
