Lesson Learned Marriage License

Hi Gals

Went to City Hall today for the license...it was super fast!  The delay came in the proper name check.  Here is a tip when going for your marriage license:

1.  If your parents are immigrants like mine, make sure you get the exact spelling of their names from their citizenship papers.  It is a very important piece that no one mentioned to me.  example:  Domenic vs. Domenico....Joseph vs. Giuseppe...Anthony vs. Antonio...apparently this is important.

2.  Also another tip, take your names form your birth certificates (as opposed to your Passports) because they seem to be finiky about middle names.  example: my fiance's middle name is not on his passport but it is on his birth certificate and we want it on our license.  Good practice is if you include your middle name on some documents, include them on all documents but make sure it is stated on your birth certificate.

That's all folks, happy planning
