I judge - house edition

Re: I judge - house edition

• Pretty much what everyone else said. Pet smells, a TON of clutter, lots of dirty dishes...dog poop on the floor...yeah, that's happened to me. Gross.

I hated living with my ex, he was the messiest person I had ever met. So our house always was cluttered everywhere, dirty dishes, smelled like cats...yeah, I judge myself but anytime I would power clean it would become bad again in 2 days. He never lifted a finger. It sucked. This just makes me love FI that much more. :)

Not only that - but literally everything. Their animals were so much that if you're highly allergic and you lay on an old pillow - you're in trouble.

I think they need to just demolish the house and start over.

First of all, damn you for quoting me before I fixed my fucked up lack of quotation marks. And second of all, I'd so much rather see low hung pictures than ones that are damn near the ceiling. It's my house pet peeve.
• Hmmm, Cew would not like my decor, I just know it. I have to get busy and decorate or something. H is obsessed with being animal hair free (with three cats and a dog!) so our furniture is covered in hunter green sheets that he washes constantly, when he is not vacuuuming the furniture. Our place may be kind of ugly and sometimes cluttered-but it is really, obsessively clean - thanks to DH. Tongue out
• I'll take hair free over shitty decor any day, Lenore. :)
• I hate it when people's houses smell like beefy soup, when you know they probably haven't had beef soup in months.

Really? Because I love that. I usually just go get my beefy soup out of the trunk of my car and then eat it in honor of them.

Can you please come to my house and tell my husband he hung our wedding picture frames too high? It's been over a month and we're still battling.

I'm afraid to ever invite any of ya'll to my house now. It's cluttered with H's business paperwork and the couch has lots of cat fur on it in the one spot Whisky has taken over. But, there is at least a blanket on that spot so it can be easily removed. As for having a pet smell, I'm not sure. You can smell the litter when going to the guest bathroom, but only because it's right next to the door in the closet.

Yes! It is my mission to eradicate high pictures. I would be happy to. And you're in luck! My standard session also comes with a kick to the groin at no extra charge.
• Note to self, fix wall pictures. Mom told me we hung them too high and I was all "no it's fine". I'm assuming the middle of the picture is supposed to be eye level?

Pet PSA that I can't help but say, be careful fully bathing a pup every single week. It can majorly dry their skin/fur out and cause skin problems. (Unless he's getting into stuff he shouldn't be every week lol)

Perfect. Any chance you can make it this week? The inlaws are coming in town on Saturday and they are both really short. I'd rather not have to bring out the ladder so they can look at our wedding pics.

No! That's perfect. That's exactly what you should do. You should be a total diick about it and require all guests to stand on ladders to look at your pictures. I think that would be hilarious.

I have a deep dislike of pubes. Not sure why I am sharing that, I just felt so moved by this post. I respect anyone's right to NOT hate pubes, but my mind will never be changes. Pubes= ewwww.
• Is it wrong that "renegade pubes" makes me think of Styx?

• I can understand a few dishes out (rinsed, of course). We don't have a dishwasher and both of us work different nights during the week, meaning at 10pm, neither of us wants to wash a couple of bowls. I try to do them every 3ish days though.

I vacuum obsessively because I have two dogs.

I judge:

dust coating everything

laundry (clean or dirty) piled on furniture

pets living outside

greasy pets when you touch them. i don't bathe my Golden but he doesn't eat bad food and gets brushed out. he has no smell or leave crap on your hands. ughhh

gunk on coffee tables

overall clutter/hoarding-ness

My former best friend used to live in her bf's parent's basement. It had like 2 walkways and piles of clothes all over the furniture and random things like plastic cups and weights on the floor. They also filled a side room with chinchillas, snakes, hamsters, and guinea pigs. The smell.... I felt dirty just walking in the door.

• How about desk drawers? Do you ever look into desk drawers and judge? *continues to shove random crap into drawers*

[QUOTE]My grandmother's house smelled like dog THREE YEARS after her dog died. True story. Ugh. I find that actually brushing my insanely long haired cats keeps them from shedding so much fur all over everything. If you have pets, there will be pet hair in your house. No denying that. But the amount of pet hair is a direct result of how lazy you are.

You know what? I didn't even realize I typed once a "week" . I was on a "once a week" roll. I meant once a "month".

• Ah ok, psa retracted then :)

Steph, the Furminator is the most wonderful thing on the planet when it comes to shedding dogs. It's definitely a product that lives up to the commercials.
