I second that.  Those were awesome, and I am thinking of having one for breakfast today.

I was the cherry kiss baker! I'm so happy you liked them.  They are a fun little spin on the peanut butter ones.  I would love to get everyone's recipes as well!

    Cherry Kisses Cookie Recipe

    Ingredients
    • 2 cups of butter
    • 2 cups powdered sugar
    • 2 TBSP maraschino cherry juice
    • 1 TSP almond extract
    • 2-3 drops red food coloring
    • 1/2 tsp of salt
    • 5 cups unbleached white floor
    • 1 cup maraschino cherries, drained and chopped
    • 50-60 hershey kisses.

    Directions
    1. Cream butter and powdered sugar together, and cherry juice, almond extract, red food coloring and salt and beat well.
    2. Add flour 1 cup at a time. Scrape bowl.
    3. Add cherries and mix only enough to blend. Dough should be stiff.
    4. Using a small cookie scoop, place dough on greased cookie sheets leaving a little room between them to spread.
    5. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes
    6. Remove from oven and immediately place an unwrapped chocolate kiss on the top of each cookie, pressing down slightly, not too much.
    7. Let cool completely before storing in an airtight container
    8. Makes 25-30 cookies (I found they make more--closer to 40-50)

    Enjoy!
