Do you also feel that flames now are a cake walk? Whenever I get flamed now, I just kind of roll my eyes because 9 times out of 10 they are pretty lame in comparison to the hellfire storm of the flaming we had gotten back then.

I started lurking around the same time that Kiki was GBCKing from E (I realize that "Kiki GBCKing" dates me about as well as "Amoro getting banned," lol) and someone was posting as "Kikis Counselor," or something along those lines. I was never quite clear on whether that was Kiki trying to scold someone for being mean to her, or someone else making fun of the entire situation. I was pretty confused at the time.

I remember this huge blown out of proportion discussion about over used phrases on here where it was determined that only certain people could use the term "throat punch" and not be a poser. Those were the good old days of horrible flamming over nothing.

I used that term the other day in my fb status and smiled.

Definitely. I cried the first time. I couldn't understand why people hated me so much. But then I got it and I understood. I knew full well what would happen when I got flamed the second time and I posted it anyway.

*whew* I'm finally caught up. I remember almost all of this stuff (except Nebb, because she's a TK dinosaur.)

The crap on our 11/10 TN board was stupid. And it wasn't a miscarriage... she compared it to a stillborn. As in "would you say someone couldn't vent if their child was stillborn?!" (when I told her to quit bitching that her H wouldn't make her lasagna.) This was right around the time LOML's baby was stillborn. seriously.

That's all I have to add for now.

I also never understood the Mandy polls. I never got one, though.

After I got flamed the first time, I felt like a giant douche. I sometimes have a hard time telling if someone is joking with me, and in that thread, I thought everyone was jumping down my throat, even though most of them were just joking.

I don't think anyone was outright mean to me. I think they (probably still) don't really care about when I post because I haven't been around that much. Nebb, I always remember you being fairly nice to me though. Oddly enough, while I know I haven't posted a lot, I've lurked a ton. I know it's creepy but I can't really post if I'm waiting for a client to pick up the phone or something.
