Table Color Question

Hi, our wedding colors are yellow and shades of gray (both light and dark). We are going for a rustic chic theme. We love the look of burlap table squares with lace on the edges like these here. Would it look weird if we had light gray tablecloths with these? They wouldn't be on all of the tables, probably about half (we want to have two different centerpieces). We would also have yellow napkins at the tables. I just wasn't sure if the burlap color clashes with gray?

I think you're overthinking things. If you want burlap as a decoration, use it. If I were a guest at your wedding I honestly wouldn't notice it or care.

Burlap also comes in grey, and I think that would look better than natural burlap.

burlap irriates me. it's uneven and will make for an uneven table surface. imo-use it elsewhere to avoid table issues.

I think it may take away from your tables, and it may look a little off if its only on half of the guest tables. What about getting these for the special tables? Head table, dessert, escrot cards, gift, guestbook, etc.

What if we did them on all of the tables but had the different centerpieces on half?

One of our centerpieces is going to be tree trunk slices with different candles on it, so it's more simple and there's nothing to take away from, you know what I mean?

The other centerpiece has yet to be determined but will probably incorporate lanterns.

I guess my main concern was would the burlap clash with gray tablecloths or would they look good together?

I still think it would be kind of a lot going on, but it sounds like you love it. If both you and FI are really into it, go for it.
