But I thought I'd ask here, since I know you guys will give me a straight answer even it sounds entirely mean. Haha..

Anyway, I have a ton of left over response cards/inner envelopes from my invitations. They're just white postcard-sized cards with a thin silver border. My first thought was, "Hey, these could potentially make cute TY cards!" And my next thought was, "Wow, would that seem cheap? Or would anyone even notice?" So...any opinions? I know this is a fairly irrelevant detail, but now I'm curious what the general consensus would be

I don't think it's cheap. Maybe you could add a little monogram or design in the bottom corner.

I think it sounds like a great idea. Most people won't have your invitation after the wedding, and won't totally remember what it looked like, but those that do will think you made TY notes that matched your invitation set.

I don't care what a thank you card looks like as long as it's handwritten and not a pre-printed lazy card.

Sounds good to me. I think anyone who notices will just think they're supposed to match, they won't actually realize they're leftovers of something else.
