bridesmaid dresses

I'm freaking out... I'm hoping that the dresses will go with the theme... They are alfred angelo 8600 in a dark blue and they are wearing brown cowboy boots with them.  It is an outdoor/rustic wedding... what do you guys think? Is it going to work?
Thanks!

  • These dresses are adorable and I think they will go very well with your theme.

  • Brown cowboy boots are not appropriate for a formal event. However, if you choose to require them, remember you are also choosing to pay for them. Boots are expensive if you want to wear them for more than 5 minutes, and rarely worn again.

That said, your dress will go fine with your theme.

Agreed with pp. The dresses are great...but a metallic/dressy flat or sandal would look so much better and be more appropriate.

    Maybe something like these:

If your BM already own cowboy boots, have them bring them and save those for a few fun pictures

  • Gorgeous dress, but I am not a fan of cowboy boots with formal dresses.

    This.

Please rethink the boots.  Your wedding will still be rustic without them.

  • I don't mind cowboy boots with dresses as much as the PPs, but I don't think they will necessarily go with that dress (can't really put my finger on why). Have your girls wear regular shoes and if the rest of the wedding is rustic it will be fine.

Probably becasue it is a more formal chiffon style dress.  Now if it was a patterned cotton sundress then I think boots would work just fine.

  • The dresses definitely go with your theme but no need to add cowboy boots with them. Do a tan or nude pump.
  • I think it could work. Have you googled bridesmaid dresses and cowboy boots and looked at images for ideas? I think the rustic theme can be adorable. I do agree you would have to buy the boots unless you have a super cool bunch of chicks. Have you discussed it with them? Maybe try the dress on in the store with a pair of boots before everyone orders. Then you will know what you are getting. Good luck!

To be honest, I think I don't like the flowers at the waist with boots. A more plain chiffon dress would work for me, but I see why others wouldn't like it.
