APM Ladies or any other married ladies

I was wondering how long you spent on pictures after the ceremony. FI and I are trying to figure out a time line of how long things will take. Thanks!

Most people take the cocktail hour for formal pics, although some photogs go a little longer. I was straightforward with ours, no more than 60 minutes for formals. If she wants a couple sunset shots, fine, but I don't want a wedding album of formal shots.

Our pictures went surprisingly quick, but we didn't have a laundry list of must-takes.  We probably spent about 45-60 min, tops.  We were even on time to the reception.  Haha... :-)

We had to wait about 30 minutes for the sun to move before we began taking pictures, and then we had an hour and a half of photos. We had a 1.5 hour cocktail hour too though. And my DH decided on the day of that he wanted formal pictures with aunts, uncles, cousins, random friends...whatever - the pictures are beautiful and we love them.

I'd say an hour is enough time as long as you don't have a must-take formal list as long as Princess Di's train.

Thanks ladies, we were thinking about an hour but I thought I'd check with others first
