Nevada-Las Vegas

I cant find a VENUE!!!!!

I just started my planning and I am already going crazy. I simply can not find a venue... I dont want to be on the strip or in a casino ( I was raised in Vegas) most of my guest will be locals and I would like them and my out of towners to see something "new" in Vegas...It seems like I have countless choices but I think that makes it worst... HELP...Some places I have looked into our the different country clubs, I have a tour at The Grove this week end and I love how the Platinum hotel looked (online).... I am having a hor dourves and cocktail reception and I would like to have a lounge feeling.... Any suggestions? Recently married Brides? again PLEASE HELP

Re: I cant find a VENUE!!!!!

  • The Platinum is beautiful and you can rent white lounge furniture through them or RSVP rentals...That would be so fun! What about golf courses. I have the price list for Bali Hai and it looks awesome! Spring Preserve?

I agree that having all these options makes one go crazy...
  • Let us know what the grove is like when you go there, I have had a look online and it looks beautiful, but it is always different in real life. I think golf course might be a great idea for you as it is so "not Vegas" if that's what you are going for! How many people are you inviting? I found that size helps to cut down venues as not everybody can accommodate you or sometimes the venue is too big...as a starting point maybe?

  • I second Springs Preserve.  I've seen some amazing photos of that venue.

  • I booked the platinum because its close to the strip, great view in the backrgound. The set up is very modern and that have been so accomodating! Also, it still gives a "normal" wedding impression but a classy Vegas feel....I think anyways : the all inclusive is a great option cause I don't have to do much and its been very low stress! Helps when planning from out of town!
  • I know you said no casinos, but what about some of the off-strip resorts like Green Valley Ranch or Red Rock?  I've seen pics of some pretty cool weddings at those places.

What country clubs have you looked at?  We were married at the Revere Golf Club in Henderson and everything was perfect.  We got a great room block rate at Green Valley Ranch for our guests and everyone loved the resort, even though it's off the strip.

  • I second Bali Hai-- we went there on our scouting trip, it's removed from the business of the strip, it's absolutely GORGEOUS, and their packages are pretty all-inclusive which would make things easy.  Plus, FI and I had lunch there and the food was good.
  • I was going to say Bali Hai or maybe East Side Cannery?
  • I'm also a Vegas girl and I was in your shoes. I ended up at Revere because they were so much more flexible than other places I talked with.

Bali Hai is closing so not sure when you wedding date is and I tried to book Springs Preserve for October but they have Halloween things planned so they discouraged having any other event there.

People seem to like Emerald at Queensridge a lot. My FI got married there the first time so I didn't even check it out.

Smiths Center does events and is catered by same Springs Preserve group. There is also some rooms in World Market.

  • I grew up in Vegas as well so I wanted the same thing. We're getting married at Angel Park in Summerlin. The ceremony outside is beautiful! It's not the lounge feel but like PP said you could rent lounge furniture. I like that the bar is an actual bar too. Their pics don't do it justice. The patio is awesome! Were actually having our photo booth outside on the covered patio! On my planning trip we hadn't even thought of them but family suggested it. They have been really great to work with! When is your wedding?
