Poll: Bridesmaid Gifts

Wedding's over and we didn't want to give our attendants gifts at the wedding, since they were already traveling with a ton of stuff anyway. We're driving up to Atlanta next month to take them all out to dinner and give them their attendant gifts, so we're starting to think about some good things to do for them.

We're both leaning toward a bag of personalized gifts for each attendant (for my girls, jewelry, maybe a spa gift certificate, a bottle of wine, etc.) and DH is thinking of taking his guys on a trip.

What were your attendant gifts?

I gave them each a gift card to their favorite restaurant and a littl jewelry pouch. I was highly unoriginal but they liked them

We got them all something different.

MOH: race registration for us to run a half marathon together and running goodies

BM1: prenatal massage and adorable Etsy baby hat

BM2: Colts sweatshirt

BM3: monogrammed backpack (to replace one she loved)

BM: J. Press leather passport holder

GM1-3: tickets to a college football game they always go to together

I got my bridesmaids each a tote from VistaPrint with their name on it, Bath and Body Works stuff in their favorite scent and Havanas flip flops. We got H's groomsmen monogramed shot glasses and a 25$ Visa gift card.

bm 1: silk pajamas
bm 2: north face fleece jacket:
bm 3: plush bathrobe
bm 4: patagonia fleece hiking shell

the clothing items were in the respective bms' favorite color.

MoH- a nice set of pearls (she's wanted them for as long as I've known her)
BM - a dressy watch with her birthstone around the face
BM - an earring and necklace set

The groomsmen all got fancy swiss army knives with their names engraved on them.

I got all of my girls duffle bags from Vera Bradley and I am filling them with a bunch of little gifts (so far I have large leatherbound monogramed notepads, monogramed stationary, gift bags from Sephora, etc.)

Warning: It's so dang hard/expensive to fill a duffle! Ahh! I really, really hope they like them so it's worth it lol

I got BM 1 sweat pants and a winter hat from Pink, BM 2 got fleecy pajama pants from GAP and gloves from Pink, and BM 3 got sweatpants and a hoodie from Aerie. I was going for comfy clothes.

H got the groomsmen tools, wax, etc. for snowboarding since they're all into it.

We got my mom tickets to see one of her favorite comedians and my dad tickets to see the Boston Pops holiday show. We got H's mom and dad gift cards to fun restaurants.

I got them each a black pashmina and a coach make up bag.

H's attendents all got something different. He got one something skiing related, another one something to do with cigars and another one an ipod nano.

I got my girls earrings from Etsy, & personalized Tervis Tumblers (they're all huge coffee drinkers). I'm also paying for their hotel rooms.

I just got this done on Friday! I was going to get each of them something different, but then I walked into this little shop and they had gorgeous sterling silver necklaces. The necklaces have a pearl or a stone with a small charm. Each BM has a different one.

I gave each of them (one maid of honor, one dude of honor) a Swiss Army knife. I think they spent half the reception playing with them. ;-)

I did Coach wristlets for the girls. DH gave the guys shoes. They wore them for the ceremony, so it might be considered one of those no-no's, but they were Chuck Taylors that they all wear - just a new pair whose first wearing was at a wedding

We also paid for the girls' hair and DH bought the guys' ties and shirts.
