How's everyone doing today? I've got a crapton of work to do and am trying to think productive since I will be rewarded later by leaving early. First I have to go to the dentist to get my stitches out, and then I'm meeting up with my gringa friends for pizza as our little pre-Christmas get-together.

I am doing well this morning. H and I went to bed early last night, which I really needed after a busy Sunday. Although I am poking this am bc H doesn't have to go to work until a bit later, so I am spending some extra time with him (and avoiding the cold). I am coming home today and taking a nap after work bc I have to work my other job tonight and that always makes for a long day.

Morning. Too much work, not enough time. Seems like the story of my life these days. It was a "balmy" 13 F this morning with a 20 mph wind when I walked the dog this morning. I don't care what Fischey says, that's fucking COLD!!!

Heya ladies! I've already been out walking the doggy today and the poor thing got attacked by a german shephard today while in the dog enclosure. I'm so mad the woman told me it was okay when I came in and then her dog went crazy. Zucca's completely fine though and wouldn't even let me give her extra snuggles. She wanted to run around and sniff things like normal. Still. I'm annoyed.

Snippy, that's happened to H before when he's walking dogs, and he always feels awful. He actually had to take a dog to the vet once when another dog came charging out of its yard with the owners just standing there watching! They received a verbal lashing for being such idiots. Hope Zucca feels better tomorrow.

Yeah, she kept apologizing but she also couldn't control the dog and keep it away from us while we left. That dog clearly has issues.

Poor dog Emily.

I'm so glad that Zucca wasn't hurt because I would have felt awwwwful.

Morning all! I'm in a much better mood today than I was yesterday. I just hope it lasts.

I can't make it to the DC get together, so I sent something special up to Manda this morning. I hope those that can go enjoy!

Snippy - that sucks about the dog. I always feel bad because our dog Patch is the sweetest thing when you walk him by himself, but if we walk him with one of the other dogs he goes nutso when he sees people or other dogs because he wants to be the first one to greet them. It's a hard habit to break, but we're working on it.

Good morning all! I'm feeling pretty good today. I have someone coming to come look at my car window this afternoon. It's been off track for months and I kept asking H to take it to get it fixed (cars are his thing) and he was just a lazy ass and never did. Yesterday was so freaking cold that I finally called. His excuse was that he couldnt' think of anywhere to call. I just googled and found a window replacement shop and they gave me this guys number. Yeah, that was hard.

Anyways....I finished my Christmas cards last night, so they should go out tomorrow, finally!

Oh right, Christmas cards! We should do those. We do them on Shutterfly because they send them to all our recipients, and that is easier, cheaper and faster than trying to send them from Chile, even if it does mean that they're less personal because we don't sign them ourselves.

Ha, Matlida, I was having the same problem when I got home from the dog walk. I also rode my bike and holy crap. By the time I was home, I couldn't feel my toes, fingers, butt and nose. So, I hopped into a hot shower. HOLY HELL. It hurt so bad and made me so itchy! So I got out, and decided to just soak my feet in some warm water. Bring the bowl out and whamo! Tip it over!!

I give up and am no wrapped in a few layers. lol

Oh yes, I have to take a screaming hot shower almost every night now just to warm up because nothing else works. I'm red by the time I get out, but it feels so good!

That's the worst though, when you just want to warm up and you have to go so slowly with cold water, then lukewarm, then finally what feels like hours later you can get to hot and feel your fingers again.

I started my Christmas cards last night. I got two deep and then my attention span disappeared. Hopefully I can knock the rest of them out tonight.

I was also going to wrap some gifts and bake some cookies last night. Which I never got around to. All I did was pop a Stouffer's meal in the oven and watch the Sing-Off. Maybe tonight I'll get two of my three items done.

I made them all last week and then had to get around to actually writing in them. I just wrote the same thing in each one and we signed them. I can't think of different things to say to everyone. I'm just excited that I actuall made my own and did them this year. It's my first year sending any out.

I need to get on the christmas cards as well. I have them out, waiting to be completed. I baked cookies instead last night. All the gifts are wrapped. With the exception of on nephew we have yet to buy for. (What do you get a kid that wants cammo stuff, camping stuff, and is 11 years old?) He mentioned wanting a bright orange hat for when the scout troop plays Man Hunt, but I feel like we should get him something else.

Good morning. Thus far, Tuesday hasn't really be blowing me away. It's been sort of a sucky morning. Argument with H, got sick to my stomach this morning, spilled coffee all over the kitchen, and there's a pile of work on my desk that needs doing. Just not feeling it today.

But. There's an office Christmas party today, so maybe things will improve.

We are having our work secret santa today and get to go to lunch at a Brazilian steakhouse so I am very excited about that. I made sure to wear an extra loose dress to make room for all the delicious food.

Morning! I'm trying not to think about how our furnace might go out today. It was acting weird last night and hasn't been able to heat the house up to the temp we set the thermostat to. I'm keeping happy thoughts...

I've had my Christmas Cards done for a week but have been waiting for my return address labels to come in from a VistaPrint order I made weeks ago. They still haven't come, along with some of my STD's that I ordered, so I just used old labels from a few years ago (they matched the cards then). Now I need to get stamps and haven't seem to have found the time! I'm hoping to get that done today. Hopefully they get to their respective places by Christmas. And VistaPrint better send me my order!!

Morning! It's freezing here today! Wind chill below zero. Sucks. I am finally feeling better though--been sick over a week. Was first taking Mucinex D, which usually helps, but I missed 2 days of work last week and even by the weekend I couldn't do much of anything but lay on the couch. So I called the doc yesterday, they gave me some antibiotics so today I feel an improvement. We are supposed to go to H's hometown this weekend for our "Christmas" with his family, so hoping both my health and the weather keep improving.

H showed me one of my Christmas presents yesterday...he also got one for my parents and brother...he did this thing on Jib Jab where they plug your faces in on different Christmas carols, a scene from It's a Wonderful Life, etc. So he used me, him, my parents and my brother. They are HILARIOUS. There is one that is just a pair of figure skaters and it's my mom & dad and I seriously thought I was going to pee myself, I was laughing so hard. Even funnier because my mom is kind of quiet and conservative so seeing her "do" all these things in the videos just cracked me up.

Morning, ladies. I'm irrationally upset this morning.

We can't keep the kittens out of the Christmas tree, and they managed to smash two ornaments that my mom picked out for me when I was a baby. We had a family tradition every year of hanging the ornaments in chronological order, and remembering past Christmases. Those ornaments were always the first two I hung up, and I remember being really excited about them.

I feel silly for being attached to some balls of glass, but they had a lot of memories.
