My 1000th post

I always dreamt it would be more epic than this.

Also, I'm bored and have decided I don't want to do any more work today.  So come and talk to me.  Here's a topic:

A peanut is neither a pea, or a nut.... discuss.

  • I love peanut butter and apple, but if I eat too much peanut butter, I get clogged so I have to moderate.  My 13 year old, on the other hand, is a PB&J eating fool and never has a problem.  My 11 year old daughter, loves peanut butter, but hates jelly so she either does it plain or like my other two boys, with pickles, YUCK, but they LOVE it.

  • I love peanut butter but never think to eat it.  I love it with apples but I am alleregic to apples so I dont eat it anymore. BOO!
  • Haha, I just hit this milestone too.  When I first started posting I thought, how will I ever get to that many posts!

On another note, MMMMMMM Peanut butter, BOOOOOOOOOOO peas.
  • Allergic to... apples?  colleen, what??  You've just blown my mind.

  • When I was younger I used to put doritos (nacho ones) into my peanut butter sandwiches.  I don't like jelly.  Peanut butter and nutella is supposed to be good., anyone ever try it?

  • I like where this is going.

I don't think a day has gone by since I was at least 5 years old that I haven't eaten peanut butter.  But I don't eat the Skippy or other commercial brands... it has to be the stirrable kind... or else it's just too sugary for me.  My absolute favorite is the Trader Joe's all natural made with Valencia peanuts... with sea salt.  I'm kind of a peanut butter snob.

My other PB favorite: Belgian waffle... topped with peanut butter, bacon, and maple syrup

  • Wait a second. Peanuts are too nuts! Aren't they?

  • Peanuts are legumes!  They grow in the ground instead of on trees like nuts.

Meagan - I gave up fast food for Lent and those Dorito tacos are Satan himself manifested on Earth to tempt me.

  • I haven't had peanut butter in long time. A frickin jar costs me almost 7 out here. Sh!t aint far! But besides the cost, I can get any jelly and PBJ just isn't the same when it's with thick semisweet fruit preserves : I did however bring back a Cracker Barrel jar of apple butter back with me. Why I didn't bring peanut butter and jelly too...no clue. But back to the point...anyone have any experience with PB and apple butter? Good, bad? That's about as close as I could get to PB and apples...I'm allergic to fresh apples too.
