Travel Tip from our Agent

Hey just wanted to share this tip with you all. Our travel agent suggeted making copies of your passport and keeping them in your suitcase (some place other than your actual passport). She said that she knows of people who have lost their passport and it will greatly speed up your process if you hae a copy of it on hand. We are going to leave copies with our parents at home (and our driver id's!) just to cover our bases!

    You leave another set of copies with someone trustworthy back home incase your bags get lost, but good to have copies on you too.

    This is excellent advice!

    When I traveled through Europe and stayed at hostels (not that many people would do that on their honeymoon), I also never left my passport in the room.  I carried it with me everywhere.  Copies were at home with my parents.

    If you do leave your hotel with your passport, beware of pickpockets.  They are common in many larger European cities.

    yes-that's always recommended. i also have scanned and emailed the copy to myself for easy retrieval at any place with internet service.  I dont carry copies around with me.
