  You could always print their initial in a pretty font, place it in the glass, and use a paint pen to paint the initial onto the glass. Or if you have a monogram, you could put it on one side and their initial on the other.

  I'm etching our own champagne glasses with our initials and maybe a rose border at the top or something! You can get etching creme and special stencils already on paper (I got mine at Michaels today), it looks too easy to do! I'm going to try a test glass first before the real thing!
