FMIL dress?

My FMIL is looking for a dress for the wedding. She wants a green colored dress (our wedding colors are brown and green) She is having the hardest time finding a dress... Any suggestions on where she might find one?? She has looked at Dillard's and Macy's and even been to the Mall of America! TIA!

My mom had really good luck at Alfred Angelo. She found a dress for my wedding, and my brother's wedding (a couple months before mine).

I would have her check out some local bridal boutiques to see what they have to offer. And she should also do what my Mom did for both mine and my sisters wedding, which was looking at bridesmaid dresses instead of MOB/MOG dresses because they tend to be frumpy and old looking.

She wants a longer dress, she has to wear a knee brace so one that will cover it. I'm not sure what size she is, i would probably say a 12 or 14. thanks for these ideas I will have her look online instead of her having to drive all over! You ladies are awesome!

Yep, my mom found several knee and floor length (ultimately I voted for a floor length one she liked). She ended up with something like this but in a tealish color:

All of the above suggestions are great. I has great luck at a bridal shop with Jasmine and Jasmine Couture dresses. They make some awesome, non-frumpy mom dresses!

I would also suggest Von Mauer, Saks,Bloomingdales and Neiman 'Marcus. They all have generous returns and most offer free shipping over 99.00 I prefer buying from a department store over a bridal shop since you can actually try on your size and return if it doesn't work. The bridal salons rarely have my size (12) and once you order, you own it! Good luck

I had given up on Macy's because the dresses seemed so frumpy lately. But my daughter and I stopped there last Friday and I found my dress:

I tried the dress on for size in the store and ordered it on line, in the color I wanted - wine.
The dress came today, fits perfectly, no alterations needed.

Try looking at Macys and Nordstroms websites. Free shipping and you can't beat the return policies.

Thank you. I'm excited now, so I can't sleep. I'm shorter than that model so the dress hits below my knees, giving it a retro vibe. I'm online shopping for accessories. I've ordered these shoes
