So I just ordered my Save the Dates, FREE from Vista Print as well as a calender of pics with my DH for my grandma.
I was really particular about my STDs and my mom tells me, "It really won't matter, black people are not caring about no save the dates." she told me the same thing about RSVPing, but I am still staying strict on that, you don't RSVP there will be no seat or food for you and you might as well go home. We will call people at the last minute if they haven't mailed me back anything.
I figured oh well, most of the black folks won't get save the dates since most of my friends are white anyway and I'm sure they will appreciate them.
So do you agree with my mom that black folks just don't care about STDs?
I personally think I'm not being "white" or anything, I think there is a certian more formal way of doing things and everyone should be aware and appreciate the fact that I am taking my time and using my money to send them something beautiful with pictures to make them aware of my wedding date. I don't care of I am a "fancy pants" or not, I just like doing things in a more formal way. I think my family should know that by now. I am the "white girl" of the family.
