Picture Website Cards

I want to get postcards from Vistaprint with a picture of us on the front (maybe holding a thank you something of sorts). And the on the back have a request for the guests to upload their personal pictures to a picture website, so that we'll be able to see and have all the pictures that we can!

Has anyone done this and it gone well?
My FSIL did something like that for her wedding - only it had cds in a self-addressed stamped envelope way and they got some back....

Any better ideas if you didn't like how it worked out?

Re: Picture Website Cards

  • A lot of people have done this using the free business cards from VistaPrint.

  • Squirrly knows best. A ton of girls have done the business cards from Vista print. I think you could just as easily do it at home and put them at the reception and/or put them in thank you cards.

Some girls have done photo scavenger hunts where they put disposable cameras on the tables with a list of things to get pictures of. I personally don't like the idea because I'm not sure it'd be worth it to have 20+ pictures of FI and I's first dance. Just my opinion though
  • On the disposable cameras. . . most of your guests will have digital cameras now.  The disposables don't take great pics, and you have to pay to have them developed before you find out which ones are worth while and which ones aren't.  I'd avoid that.

  • *FYI- with disposable cameras- you can now take them to Walgreens or wherever you like to have film developed and have all the film put onto CDs- this is much cheaper than having all the cameras developed. Then you can view the photos on the CDs and choose the ones you actually want printed.

It is not quite as expensive to make the CDs- so I think disposables are still an option/fun for guests!
