So I was away from the knot for the weekend. FI called me yesterday and told me that his sister wanted to contribute some money to the wedding. I thought that was really thoughtful of her. But FI stated that she was really insistent on a dollar amount that she could contribute. He asked me should we tell her the $500 for the deposit on our photographer or contribute that amount toward our honeymoon but I thought that was alot to ask of her even if she was offering us money. But I told him that he knew his sister better than I did and whatever she offered I'd be more than grateful and he could make that decision on what he wanted to put it towards. Long story short, FI calls back and said he could tell she was wanting to contribute way more then he was suggesting. FI's sister and husband have offered to pay for our honeymoon!! 
Wow!! We're super excited because we planned to go somewhere but were just going to wait closer to the wedding to snag a great deal somewhere because we had no real expectations. We just planned to go somewhere together even if it was just a weekend away in a nice hotel. FI said they asked what we had in mind and when he told them they said oh we were thinking maybe Hawaii or somewhere exotic for you guys. So FI is super excited about that expense being taken care of! ..lol and so am I!
