What is your.....

Something blue? Old? New? borrowed?

Did I miss one?

New: I guess my dress, veil, and shoes?
Simple Bandeau Birdcage Wedding Veil

Blue: Working on that....considering the garter or jewel decals for soles of shoes.

Old: working on it

Borrowed: headpiece

    Old: Great-grandmother's hat pin
New: Perfume  (Technically the something new is not supposed to be the dress, headpiece, or shoes, since each of the "somethings" are supposed to be in addition to the bridal attire.)
Borrowed: A clutch from a friend of my mom's
    Blue:  Stockings

I also had an authentic English silver sixpence that I wore in my left shoe.

Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284

There's actually a whole lot of specifics that are supposed to go into the "somethings" if you're really superstitious or want to be super traditional, because each thing is supposed to bring a different sort of energy into the marriage.  But I mean, no one is going to come out and stop the wedding if you've worn your something new before the day of the wedding or if your something borrowed doesn't come from a woman in a long and happy marriage, ya know?

I don't think I am even going to be bothered with it all!

I do't know how I would even fit some of the things in....especially something blue!

I only have the "borrowed" part locked down right now - my Dad (who passed away two years ago) gave my Mom diamond earrings for their first anniversary.  I will be wearing those.

    New - bracelet
    Old - my Grandma's hankie
Blue - I'd love some sort of blue undergarment
