Guest book?

Hey I am looking for a fun, creative, but relatively simple and low cost guest book idea, any suggestions? Thanks in advance, Megan

Re: Guest book?

  • Instead of doing a traditional guest book, I got a large black frame with thick white mat inside and 4x6 pictures. I'm giong to have the guests sign around the pictures on the white mat with black marker. They also have silver/gold charger like plates that can be signed with metallic marker thats neat.

You could also get just like a scrapbook and put some cutesy wedding scrapbooking things on each page and have guests sign that.
  • An idea I saw just the other that I'm totally in love with is the wish bowl. Instead of doing a guest book, which you will probably never look at again, you make a wish bowl. What you do is get small pieces of paper, either in your wedding colors or just white, and leave them for guest to sign and leave messages to you and your FI. You can tell them to give you advice, feedback, funny stories - you name it! Then after the wedding you could create a wedding scrapbook with them throughout.

This website gives some great info about it -

Or just go out and google it.
  • We're wavering between the guest book frame where our guests will sign on a mat around a picture in the center which we would use one of our Engagement Pictures for or a photo guest book from Shutterfly.
  • Our photographer is taking our engagment pictures and making a guest book. It will be black pages and have a few engagment picutres in it and one on the cover. Guests will sign it in white or silver pen. I think its a great idea and better then just a list of names.

  • I went to Mixbook.com and uploaded pictures of our travels together and made guest book out of that.  They have awesome templates and they are relatively low priced.

Where the guests can hang their wish's to you.

  • What we are doing is collecting post cards from places that we have been in the past and then having them out at our reception for people to sign and write messages. We'll give them to his mom and then have her send them to us every once in a while over the next year, and then maybe bind them. That way we can have something that reminds us of our lives together (locations we've been) as well as all of the wishes that people have for us, and we get to read them throughout the coming year.
It's not a super cheap idea, but it's fun and we like it. Just a thought.
  • We are going to the Riviera Maya for our honeymoon and our reception is going to be Mexican inspired.  We picked up a beautiful hardcover coffee table type book with photographs and stories from the region and we are going to have our guests sign the front and back pages... This way we have a book we'll actually look at again (and probably keep on the coffee table) and it will also remind us of our great honeymoon!
