What makes a good blog?

So I've been thinking about blogs a lot lately (maybe because I have to edit and post blogs at work). So here's what I'm wondering:

What do you think makes a good blog?

Who are your favorite bloggers?

How often do you like to see new posts?

Do you ever read blogs associated with a company?

ETA: Bonus for links to your favorite blogs

    What do you think makes a good blog? I agree with Liv, I need to be able to search it easily and find topics that I like. I sometimes won't read a blog for a while and want to be able to catch up. I like pictures, but I hate stuff on tumblr where ALL it is is pictures.

    Who are your favorite bloggers? Haha, I read odd blogs. I like eisforerin.com because I found her on thenest. I read playathomemom because it really interests me as an educator planning on studying music therapy. I like to see the ways they get their kids to learn and explore. I also hop around different femminist blogs when I get the chance.

    How often do you like to see new posts? I think that if you're going to blog you need to also post frequently (a few times a week at least) or I get bored with waiting.

    Do you ever read blogs associated with a company? I don't but I'm not someone who reads a lot of blogs regularly.

    Well- as I mentioned before- I love blogs that include lots of pictures!
     
    I like blogs where I can easily navigate through past topics.

    I also have a new obsession with blogs about girls who are trying to be thin... probably not the healthiest mindset to see super thin girls talk about wanting to be thinner... but it helps me get through food cravings late at night.

    A great story, pictures and humor! 

    Who are your favorite bloggers? 
    I love Allie Brosch (Hyperbole and a Half) and I've recently started reading "Jen and Men", because it's hilarious. I also LOVE "STFU, Parents!" The author, who goes by B., is so full of deadpan snark that it makes me gigglesnort. And, of course, PostSecret. 

    How often do you like to see new posts? 
    Once a week to twice a month. I love, LOVE, LOVE "Hyperbole and a Half", but she updates like once every other month, sometimes less.

    Do you ever read blogs associated with a company?
    Eh. My former employer (the kennel) has a blog and it's related to pets and pet care, so I'll every so often browse that.

    What do you think makes a good blog? 

    Relateable topics-I tend to read "lifestyle" blogs, basically blogs just about people who are approximately the same age as I am and their everyday life. Not necessarily advice or product pushers. I also, because I'm a masochist, read a lot of infertility blogs. I don't have any known issues, but I have a few friends who have had issues/miscarriages and I've been compltely sucked into the blog world. 

    Who are your favorite bloggers?

    How often do you like to see new posts? 

    I'm a blog sl_t so I like to see posts around 5 times a week. But anywhere from 3 to 5 is good. Also, being on tumblr has made me expect lots of short bursts of info. Some people post well over 20 times A DAY! But for long form blogs, once a day is good for me.

    I used to read infertility blogs alot. Babies are NO WHERE in my immediate future but my mom went through infertility for 6 years so it was interesting to read what these people went through.

    I like to read blogs about babies and crunchy moms too, lunar! :)
