HAIR AND MAKEUP QUESTION!!

Hi girls!!!
I'm completing both of my makeup's and hair stylist contracts and they both ask me the time that they should arrive and the time that I have to be ready by..... My ceremony starts at 6pm and its about 25 mins away so I said that I have to be ready by 5:15pm at the latest. However, Im not sure which one I should do first?? Hair or makeup? I thought hair so that when Im doing my makeup its not on my face but my friend said that  Ishould do the makeup first so that when their doing my hair, the heat doesnt melt or mess it up.
What do you girls recommend??
At what time should I tell the make up artist and the hair stylist to be at my house???

From many pictures that I've seen the bride usually has her hair done first then makeup :)

I agree with PP, I plan to do the hair first and then the makeup. I want the makeup to go on last so that it is the most freshest that it can be!

From my Engagement photo session with Hair and Makeup, my stylist does my hair first then makeup. Are you having your bridal party with you getting hair and makeup done? If so, you want extra time for everyone to get ready and they sh ould be there by 1:30-2:00. If you are by yourself I would suggest 2 hours before.

If the ceremony starts at 6, and it's 25 minutes away, you need to be ready by 4:30 at the latest!!  Don't forget that after hair/makeup, you still need to get into your dress, get all your accessories (jewelry, veil, shoes, garter) on.  The dress, depending on if it's a button up or a laceup, could even take 15 minutes.  Then you're going to want photos with your maids prior to the ceremony, your mom, your dad, the flower girls, etc.
